Virginia’s line is all made using genuine sterling silver, 14k gold, semi-precious stones, or freshwater pearls combined in a unique way in her own distinctive style. Each high quality piece is designed and handcrafted by the artist. The main technique she uses is to make an original model out of carved or molded wax or fabricated metal, and then have them molded and cast into sterling silver or 14k gold. Much of Virginia’s newer work is completely fabricated and each piece is an original. Many of Virginia's pieces have movable elements, which as well as being beautiful to look at and interesting to listen to, also inspire a tactile interaction with the piece. She is inspired by antiquity and by modern designs. Her work is an expression of the juxtaposition of these two opposing elements. Her pieces have a strong sense of modernity with a sculptural depth that translated into a work of art that can be worn.
