Slab style clay work combining husband and wife's two mediums. Beginning with a block of clay, we cut and roll it to thickness. For the husband's original poetry, it is hand pressed into the clay letter by letter, word by word, using old typeset. For the wife's original illustrations, everything is hand drawn, traced onto the slab of clay and hand carved. Each piece is handmade by the two of them together from start to finish. Tiles are made in a craftsman style, simple and elegant finished with either found wood or craftsman style solid oak frames. We make the frames ourselves using a mortise and tenon technique. No nails or screws are using in the making of the frames. Each piece is original and unique.
