My husband and I have a 100 acre farm with 16 alpacas that we use the fiber from to create wearable works of art. We knit, spin, dye, weave and felt the alpaca fiber into scarves, hats, gloves, Ruanas, wraps, purses and jackets. We also send fiber to a co-op where they make our socks that we sell. This year we plan to begin offering classes on the farm to teach others the art of spinning, weaving and felting. We currently do host farm visits and open houses with demonstrations of spinning, weaving and felting as well as teaching about alpacas.
