Fine Craft and Art Shows at Chautauqua July 11–13 & August 8 –10, 2025
I received my degree from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing/Jewelry under the direction of my instructor and mentor, Thomas Markusen. After graduating in 1997 I continued my apprenticeship with Tom at his studio in Western NY. Over the years he taught me his knowledge of the tradesman’s life. I have been inspired by nature’s form. Observing the flowers and trees around me has brought substance to my designs. The idea of taking a nonferrous metal and creating a delicate form stimulates me. So, I took all the things my father and mentor taught me and added the nature aspect and started creating American made fine crafts. In 2007 I was accepted into the Roycrofters at Large Association in East Aurora, NY. Over the years I have won numerous awards displaying at shows and in 2016 won the “Master Craftsmen Award” at the 100 American Craftsmen Show. I have exhibited in hundreds of Fine Craft Shows all over the North-East coast.
