Each of these characters is created by hand, through the time intensive process of needle felting fluffy wool fibers into solid objects. The process itself is a small stand against our fast-paced, tech obsessed modern society. Through the combination of found objects, each adding a bit of their own history, with lots of luscious color, pattern and detail, this fantastical realm comes to life, inviting the viewer to momentarily join the journey into the strange and curious world of imagination that is easily overlooked in our daily hustle. Each character provides the beginning of a narrative, leaving space for the viewer to conjure their own story, and maybe even see a glimmer of the marvelous in themselves along the way.
