Fine Craft and Art Shows at Chautauqua July 10 –12 & August 7– 9, 2026
As an artist, I am in love with color and light and the essential, ineffable interactions between the two. I was born this way. My artist mother taught me to see beauty: in sunsets; fabric stores; carrot peelings in a stainless steel sink; gum polka dots on the sidewalk. My architect father taught me to see structural space, the integration of interior and exterior volumes, the qualities of light at different times of day, and diffusion. Currently, I'm working with kiln-fired layers of powdered enamels on copper — an ideal medium for me to bring color, light, translucence, layers, material, textures, reflection, refraction, and sparkle together brilliantly. My pieces are 6" x 12" or 6" x 6", mounted on a solid oak backing with hardware for wall hanging.
