Description of my work. Horner’s Pens I create one of-a-kind writing instruments and various hand turned items All my works are created by me> I chose different types of wood, I hand poured acrylics and items embedded in clear and colored resins to turn to create the bodies of my works. The material is cut to the length I need. A hole is drilled length wise for a brass tube to give the pen strength. The material is turned on my lathe, sanded and a finish applied as it is spinning. Different metal components are chosen that will complement the turned body. Titanium-gold, 22k gold, rhodium and platinum are used Items include Ballpoint, rollerball, and fountain pens. Also Office accessories, letter openers and magnifying glasses are hand turned on my lathe. Different styles of key chains and fan pulls are made.
