I am a ceramic artist and surface pattern designer with a constant drive to create. It stems from a small spark, a seed of an idea grows in my head and works its way through my heart and to my hands. These ideas serve as a creative funnel, allowing me to process emotions or situations in my life. My love of color and pattern found a home on the ceramic forms I create. I’m excited by this marriage of form and surface, I have found my voice and this is where I make art that feels most like me. I create functional ceramics with the intention that my work brings the user a joyful everyday experience, creating a deeper and more meaningful connection to that day and that moment. All of my ceramic pieces are wheel-thrown or hand built by me. I do not do any slip-casting. I paint everything by hand, there are no decals. I treat each piece as a special one-of-a-kind work of art, no two are ever exactly the same.
