I am a potter, producing wheel-thrown pieces decorated with a surface design technique called sgraffito. I am drawn to bright colors and whimsical patterns. All my pieces are functional, and no two pieces are ever the same. Even when I am commissioned to make a set, I will use the same color palate and core pattern, but each piece is unique. I believe that the bowl you eat your morning cereal out of should be fun – and inspiring. I enjoy taking everyday objects and embellishing them, so they are useful but create a mood and have a voice.
