I work mostly in acrylic, collage, ink, and graphite on canvas building layers and creating a story for the viewer. Experiencing solitude during the pandemic, I found the appeal of assemblage onto my sparse abstract landscapes directing personal reflections or jogging collected memories. Creative studio work is appetizing for the introverted artist. The historic and abandoned homes of Chautauqua County with inserted collage elements provide untold stories for the viewer to finish. As I live through my day with a sense of finished silence, it becomes apparent that my spirit years to refresh itself and I reach to catch the glimpse of the happiness in the new work that I have created.
