I am inspired by Nature and Mechanisms. The mechanics of Nature. I create sculptures implying movement as in schooling of fish, swirling flocks of birds, swaying trees. Using torch cut steel, kiln formed cast and draped glass as well as collected machine parts welded together with my own manufactured shapes in steel to create sculptures that appear to be moving or are in fact kinetic to some extent. I use welding as a connective force as well as a decorative element to add texture and details. At the heart of all my creations, I am a painter. My sculptures are painted with the help of Nature and natural patina, as well as with acrylics and spray paint.
