In a former life I was a theatrical costume designer and pattern maker. Today, I create artistically styled accessories, and yarn. Inspired by nature, classic, and retro pieces, I enjoy changing up old designs to make them mine. I have been an avid knitter since my theatre days. Hand-painted yarn, buttons and shawl pins are now part of my collection. In costume design, color and texture help tell the character’s story, or visualize a mood on stage. I hand-dye my scarves and yarn, using techniques such as shibori, and ombre. Buttons are covered in leather and brocades, painted or sculpted from polymer clay. Scarf rings are also created from polymer clay, and shawl pins are a combination of clay and forged metal. I hope my customers will find something to love in this collection. As always, I try to create accessories and items that help them feel beautiful every day.
