Fine Craft Shows at Chautauqua July 11–13 & August 8 –10, 2025
Using traditional silversmithing, enameling, lost wax casting and gem cutting techniques, I make fine art jewelry out of sheet, wire, and scrap metals. Discarded objects often become the starting point of my designs. I use hammers and anvils to forge curving forms that I see in my mind's eye. I cut away from the original object, using shears and saws. And when I'm down to bits and pieces, I melt the metal and cast it into new forms. Design is an adventure for me. An improvisation. An experiment. Since I picked up my first hammer, I have followed the artistic journey of metalsmithing. And I've never looked back.
