Eye to the Sky Ceramics is an homage to the natural beauty of the world around us, and our ceramic vessels are a prompt to pause and reflect on how we engage with it. Established in 2018 as a one-woman studio by ceramicist Kate Baranowski, Eye to the Sky Ceramics has grown so swiftly that it now operates as a partnership between Kate and her husband, Nick. We work with commercial stoneware and porcelain that is sourced from an East Coast clay producer, and we maintain a small collection of wild clay pieces that use a combination of Finger Lakes clay deposits- this we dig and mill by hand. Our work is fired to cone 6. We make pieces that are pleasing to the eye as well as the hand, and bring equal parts function and beauty to your daily life.
