Hand-turned pens created using exotic woods, resins or interesting items cast in resin. Historic woods are also utilized, including wood from baseball and football stadium seats, Chautauqua Amphitheater seats, iconic white oak from the end of the Shawshank Redemption movie and from a 1965 Tardis movie prop from movie - "Dr. Who and the Daleks". The materials are carefully selected, cut, drilled, trimmed and turned on a lathe. Final shaping and finishing is done on another lathe. The blanks are then buffed and assembled. All of the this work is completed by me in my shop.
