As an avid surfer and snow and water skier, my art work is an effort to capture some of the most intimate and sublime moments I have encounters in nature with an artistic and interpretive slant. I most begin with pure white silk. French dyes are carefully applied with Japanese brushes on pure silk or a rayon silk blend. Each piece is steamed for five hours, then washed, then cut and sewn into original art to wear. I often enhance this technique with Shibori, marbling, devore' and salt techniques as well.
