Fine Craft and Art Shows at Chautauqua July 10 –12 & August 7– 9, 2026
In my past life, I was a geologist. Through my minds' eye, my designs are landscapes of colors, textures and three dimensional patterns of depth. Before becoming a fiber artist, I cherished the coats my mother designed and created for me. I am inspired by beautifully woven fabrics from all over the world. Italian cashmeres and silks, Belgium wool crepes and woven jacquards are part of my detailed combinations of textures and integral mosaics of color. These gorgeous fabrics seemingly move on their own, that by themselves, tell me how to create a beautiful wearable art form. All this leads me to create wearable art that is elegant, unique and functional. My designs follow the lifestyle of those of us who determined and work hard, those of us who are curious and imaginative and those for whom individuality is a way of life.
