I have loved beautiful coats for as long as I can remember. Before becoming a fiber artist, I cherished those my mother designed and created for me. I am inspired by beautifully woven fabrics from all over the world. Italian cashmeres and silks, tapestries, Belgium wool crepes and woven wool jacquards are all part of my detailed combinations of texture and integral mosaics of color. These gorgeous fabrics seemingly move on their own, that by themselves, tell me how to create a beautiful, wearable art form. I am inspired by the many combinations of ever changing colors and textures I see outside everyday. All this leads me to create a wearable piece of art that is elegant, unique, functional and often one of a kind. My designs follow the lifestyles of those of us who are determined and work hard, those of us who are curious and imaginative and those for whom individuality is a way of life.
