Eileen and Michael have always loved glass, first in admiration, then as collectors, and now as creators. We have spent many hours at the nearby Corning Museum of Glass watching the masters teach or demonstrate. Lino Tagliapietra, Davide Salvadore, Bertil Valien have been particularly inspiring. We primarily use kiln formed techniques, but strive to include other glass techniques (from the glass blowing and cold working expertise) in our finished pieces. This helps to ensure our work is fresh and unique. We continue to expand our knowledge through work with teachers like Marty Kramer, Manuela Milan, and others. We have been invited to Venice to work with Manuela and her husband Maurizio Alfier at their studio and hope to do that sometime post Covid. Our artistic goal is to produce work that is elegant, original, unique, and finely crafted. We have won Best in Show at the Letchworth Festival. First place prizes at Bruce Museum, Colorscape, Syracuse, Westhampton, and others.
