My work is an exploration of the interplay between man and nature. I am intrigued by our ability to both value its beauty while our actions effect its natural systems. I take my inspiration from my own experiences in nature, and am fueled by my fear of man's impact on it. I utilize a mix of three elements: glass, precious metals & gemstones. Trained as a classical jeweler, I combine metalsmithing and lapidary skills with the centuries old process of glass cold working in which I manipulate the glass in its solid form using techniques such as grinding, drilling, cutting, sanding, and stone wheel engraving.
