Updating the age-old technique of rag rug weaving, Claudia Mills Handwoven Rugs designs and manufactures one-of-a-kind rugs using a fresh palette of colors in cotton fabric and leather. Although the core weaving remains the same, I have created a contemporary vibrant aesthetic while retaining the warmth of traditional rag rugs. I try to strike a balance between color, texture and pattern in each rug. Interlaced colored yarns and strips of fabric create infinite possibilities for color and textural effects.
