Christina grew up in Seattle. Her father was an industrial/interior designer and her mother, a Wellesley graduate. At age 5 she visited NYC with her Mom and older sister, touring Manhattan in her Aunt's convertible. While gazing up at the skyscrapers she was mesmerized and knew that one day she would move there. After 2 years at Washington State University she went on to graduate from the School of Fashion Design in Boston. A trip, sponsored by the school, to Europe visiting fashion houses and exploring London, Paris, Florence, and Rome was thrilling. She was able to realize her dream from a young child and was fortunate to work first as the Assistant Designer for Pierre Cardin Handbags, then as the Designer. A trip to Europe to see fashion trends was amazing! Two other positions followed, then her family moved to Pittsburgh. Her passion is designing and manufacturing handbags, often from repurposed interior design fabric samples and vintage carpet, trimmed in leather.
