Growing up in Seattle as the daughter of an Industrial/Interior Designer I enjoyed working with fabric, leather, and carpet samples creating clothing and accessories. After graduating from The School of Fashion Design in Boston I moved to NYC where I worked as the Designer for Pierre Cardin Handbags, traveling to Europe on a buying trip and to Hialeah, FL to the factory. Later, I worked directly with Calvin Klein and his team as Liaison to perfect the belt line being produced in a separate factory. Moving to Pittsburgh I continue in my own business as handbag designer and manufacturer utilizing product that may have otherwise been discarded. Examples are worn out antique and vintage carpet and also fabric and leather samples from furniture and interior design establishments. These create a one of a kind product due to the size of each sample and cut of each carpet section. Hardware and leather straps complete the finished accessory. Creating handbags is my passion.
