Growing up in the scenic Hudson Valley I spent my childhood exploring in the woods, around the river and in the Catskill mountains. These adventures encouraged a sense of wonder and appreciation of natural beauty. In High School, I fell in love with ceramics and much of my work was inspired by those adventures. I later headed to the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University where I was first exposed to glass blowing. I fell in love with it and have been working in the medium ever since. The fluidity and versatility of glass allowed me to experiment and push boundaries. I still live in the Hudson Valley and the ever-changing landscape is still a major source of inspiration, and I often incorporate organic forms and textures into my pieces.
