Twin sisters Carla Press and Marcia Press began the Meshugenah Hat Company in the summer of 2015. Both of us have a unique sense of fashion and design, which we inherited from our mother. Our products, hats and accessories, are inspired by our love of color and texture and embrace the qualities of whimsy and elegance. We appreciate a different time in our society, when wearing a hat was an essential part of everyday life, not only as a practical function but as a statement about the wearer. In our current society, it seems to us that too many people strive for conformity. We strive for individuality. We are also inspired by all things vintage. Our hats are our original designs or reinterpretations of vintage designs. We make all of our styles as flexible as possible: we put wire in the brims, make every hat reversible, and offer a large range of colors, patterns, and high-end textiles. Currently, our collection includes about six different styles for spring-summer and fall-winter.
