Fine Craft Shows at Chautauqua July 11–13 & August 8 –10, 2025
I am a wood-turner living and working in southwest Michigan with my wife and our two dogs. I am entirely self-taught and have been honing my turning skills for the past 12 years. I’ve been honored to receive a number of awards at various art and fine craft shows and in the spring of 2014 I achieved the honor of being accepted as a member of the Roycroft Artisans at Large group based in East Aurora, NY. In March of 2019, I was even more honored to have been elevated to the rank of Master Artisan with the Roycrofters. As I push my skills on the lathe to new levels, I’ve learned that I have a true passion for uncovering the hidden beauty that is locked away inside each piece of wood, watching each piece evolve with every pass of my chisel, every cut revealing more of the character and warmth hidden within. I consider it my privilege to take a tired old piece of wood and re-purpose it into something beautiful, whether it’s a decorative art piece, or a functional piece for the home.
