I am a completely self-taught woodturner who is constantly trying to push my skills to new levels through experimentation through use of different techniques, materials and combinations of the two. I enjoy adding color to my work amplify the beautify that was put there by nature. I love watching each piece develop - with every pass of my chisel - from a simple unassuming chunk of cut wood - slowly revealing itself as the piece of art that it wants to be. My work ranges from simple functional items like pens, wine stoppers, bottle openers, utility bowls for the kitchen to decorative pieces such as art bowls, platters, and hollow forms.
