I am a second generation potter, primarily making functional pottery. My love for food and beverage shines through in my work as the majority of my pottery is made for eating, drinking and cooking. From my home studio I create mostly wheel thrown pieces fired to cone 6 oxidation, utilizing both self-mixed and commercial glazes. My techniques vary as I dip, spray, paint and squirt several layers of oxide and glaze on each piece in an attempt to add depth to my simple and refined shapes.
