I am a watercolor painter working on both traditional paper and, more uniquely, canvas. I enjoy capturing humorous and cozy domestic scenes of family, friends, gardens, pets and books, particularly on paper where I can add touches of pen and ink in the style of mid-century children's illustration. I also love painting misty and watery landscapes from my favorite places in northern Michigan, Ontario and Maine. Canvas is a perfect platform for these larger scenes with their big water, big sky, moody trees and reflections.
