Work, effort, destruction and creation permeate my artistic process which emerges from a desire to preserve traditional metal working traditions while simultaneously accessing a passionate approach to social justice. Each piece is hand made by me using various hand fabrication techniques including scoring, chasing, and stone setting. My process utilizes various materials to create unexpected textures on silver and gold. It is the ephemeral nature of emotion that binds objects with memory in my work. I am primarily inspired by wildlife of various extrapolations, especially the misunderstood and demonized life forms that humans are biologically dependent. I strive to inspire wonder regarding life on Earth.
