In a former life I was a theatrical costume designer and patternmaker. Today, I create artistically styled clothing and accessories. My clothing line blends contemporary design with vintage and classical details. In costume design, color and texture help tell the character’s story or visualize a mood on stage. Now I hand-dye my designs, using techniques such as shibori, ombre, vat, and patch dyeing. My actors did not come in sample sizes, and neither do my customers today. My designs come in six sizes and custom work is never a problem. Fit is extremely important, whether it’s the shape of the back, the cut of the shoulder, or the width of a sleeve. I strive to create comfortable, easy-care, and washable clothing for my customers.
