I take hat shapes and hand working techniques from a variety of cultures and time periods, and look at them through an artist's eye. I combine high-tech modern materials with old world hand working techniques, reinterpreting them and bringing them into the 21st century. I then manipulate and add on to the form, poking holes and stitching with satin ribbon, stripes of fleece and hand formed details blending the hi tech fabric with traditional hand work to make my hats.
