Fine Craft Shows at Chautauqua July 12–14 & August 9–11, 2024
I began sewing at the age of 6 when I received a toy sewing machine as a gift and immediately began designing and creating clothing for my dolls. Over the years I have enjoyed many forms of textile artistry, including garment design and creation, traditional and art quilting, home decor, upholstering, and creating bridal wear. My one-of-a-kind fiber-art wearables and accessories are designed and created entirely by myself. I utilize my own patterns and self-taught techniques, including fabric collage, fabric and thread manipulation, raw edge appliqué, bobbin work, and free-motion stitching. Each fully lined piece is detailed with piping, binding, and unique self-created closures. I enjoy the process of combining fabrics with various textures, colors, and patterns to achieve designs ranging from elegant to vibrant and whimsical.
