Christina Rausa, Executive Director

Trained as a sculptor and silversmith at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Marc Levine views his handbags as a natural outgrowth of both a lifelong desire to create "the perfect object" and dissatisfaction with traditional sculpture materials. His perfectionism and technological innovation have won him critical acclaim.

Marc's work has been exhibited at the American Crafts Museum in New York, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, the British Crafts Centre in London and numerous other museums. His handbags and jewelry have appeared on the pages of Vogue and Smithsonian Magazine as well as in America's prestigious galleries and juried craft shows.

Nancy Cole Kelly discovered her affinity for crafts in the 1970's working as assistant manager for Shop One, a gallery owned by professors and affiliates of RIT's School for American Craftsmen. She went on to become manager of The Gallery Store at Memorial Art Gallery where she organized national craft invitational exhibitions on a variety of themes.

Over the twenty-six years Nancy managed The Gallery Store, it became known as a center for fine crafts. Following retirement in 2003, she served for two years as artistic advisor and director of Arts at the Gardens, held at Sonnenberg Mansion and Gardens in Canandaigua, NY. Nancy has served as a juror for numerous fine art and fine craft shows and exhibitions.

Ceramic artist Carl Shanahan received his MFA for Northern Illinois University and has been a professor of Art at The State University of New York at Geneseo for the past 40 years. His work has been exhibited widely in galleries throughout the region including: The Burchfield-Penny Art Center, Buffalo, NY, Keenan Center House Gallery, Lockport, NY, the Ortlip Gallery, Houghton College, West Seneca NY and The Davidson Gallery at Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester NY.

Carl was a Regional Board Member of the National Council on the Education of the Ceramic Arts and held the office of President of both the Genesee Valley Counsel on the Arts and of New York State Craftsman.
